Will Headlight Tint Get Me Tickets?

I was looking to tint my xenon headlights (

) on my M4. I upgraded the ugly orange turn signal bulbs for really bright white led bubs. Light output will virtually be no different. Do you think cops will give me an issue here in Long Island?

I'd say maybe, but more likely you will have problems getting an inspection done. I went with painted headlights from Oneighty to get the darker look and have had no issues over 3+ years

What color tint? In NJ, yes, my coworkers and I love giving headlight color tickets :-)

Black lol, did not want to spend the roughly 1k on getting them painted.

I prefer the clean look, tinted headlights scream “pull me over, I’m young”.

I hate seeing tinted headlights, especially when they're yellow, like, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?

As long as the lights dont catch your attention because they appear out or a different color youre not likely to get pulled over for that specifically. You might get a ticket for it along with others if you were pulled over for your manner of driving. Tinted lights also may become a contributing factor that makes you potentially liable if you were involved in a more serious accident

In New York even if you just THINK about tints will get you a ticket.
