What would sound better....Borla sec. cat delete or AA/Dinan X Pipe resonator delete?

Hi guys,

looking to make the exhaust sound a little better but not sure if I want to spend the money on an MPE or Remus exhaust for a leased car. What do you all think would sound better? A Borla test pipe (60557) removing the secondary cats and stock everything else including the stock resonator or an X pipe such as a Dinan or AA?

In terms of reverting back to stock the Borla is going to be the easiest since you only have to cut the stock system in two places. Sound wise between the Dinan and the Borla I really think it would sound pretty close to each other. I would say the secondary cat delete would give you slightly more sound than the resonator.

Thanks Kevin, I appreciate your insight

If I buy a used Borla pipe where could I find the right clamps to attach it to the cut portion of the stock exhaust?

Shouldnt be too hard to find them. I would say any auto parts store should have the band clamps needed.

Dinan will be quieter and around a 10% increase over stock. AA will be a good amount louder as it also deletes the secondary cat. All depends on the sound you are going for and if you plan on adding an axle back in the future.

Depends on what you are looking for ... If you want to amplify sound, get Borla
If you are looking for a clean sound with no rasp, Active Autowerke is the way to go.
You also get a nice power increase with the Active Autowerke midpipe
