Current APR

Anyone have any clue when the 2.92% rate through BMWFS may end, for better or worse?

Is it something they change monthly, quarterly, or is it random?

I'm currently locked to that, I hope it gets better by the time my car gets here around March/April.

New rates come out during the first week of the of every month. No guarantee they will change though.

I can't remember where I was reading but I think it will stay at 2.92% for february as well. I'm in the same boat as I locked in 2.99% back in december and I was going to go into the dealership to lock in 2.92% but since my car won't be here until late march/early april i thought I'd just wait until february so I don't have to go through the process again.

Word of warning to all doing PCD. It can change month to month. I had mine locked in at 1.9%. My PCD date was a few days after the start of the month but you have to complete the paperwork a few days prior to finalize everything. I asked my dealer if there was anyway we could do it the night before because i wanted to see if the rate would drop. They couldnt, got my car, the next week, the rate dropped to 0.9%.

If i didnt do PCD, i could have waited on taking delivery until the new program came out. Im very happy i did PCD, no regrets. My advice would be, lock in the rate, but if it looks like you will be taking delivery at the end of the month, try to wait to see what the new programs might be. For those doing pcd, dont come back to the forum or bmw's website finance section for a while, to avoid seeing what a bad deal you got.

Guys, looking for advice, my car will be ready by end of Jan 2017, it feels like according to current terms, there may be a drop in APR because current APR is going until January 31, 2017. Do you think there is a high chance it can drop to 0.9 for Feb 2017?

don't count on it going down. it was 2.90 for December - now it's 2.91. interest rates (US at least) don't seem to be dropping again.

The programs with BMW change monthly. There is no trend i have ever noticed to make a good guess.

If BMWFS isnt 1.5% or lower I would look into Penfed or another lender.

I was lucky enough to lock in .9 for 60 with BMW last year. Just check the 3-4th of every month to see the current programs.

My first M4, I bought in Feb, 2015... went to .9% from 2.9 in Jan..

So... I'd wait to do the paperwork till 1st week in Feb.

Worth a shot.
