It was a tough decision for me - I wish there was a combination of light weight and perfect sound, but there are always tradeoffs. I have nothing but full respect for the Akra system and I can't knock it in any way. It is beautiful to look at and the craftsmanship?... damn... it just looks so flawlessly made. I can see why people choose this system.

I agree with you 100% about the craftsman ship/quality.
They do sound great on specific cars to me.
Of course engine types are what set them apart.
To me, the akra sounds best with catless downpipes only..the money factor is another subject as well lol

Each has different cut points, so some custom work would likely be necessary.

Are the tips held on with some sort of clamp locking mechanism at the base of the tips? Looks like it. As compared to the set screw that lock tips onto the BMW MPE?

Tips are held in with individual clamps so they remain adjustable.

If you're interested in knowing more about Akrapovič and what makes them so special as well as a little into their history, you should watch this video!

I just purchased an Akra system for my F82. Went and saw (and more importantly heard) it in person before putting any money down at a garage local to me who had just installed one: http://mulgari.com/mulgari-bmw-m4-ak...-install-video

It's lightweight, has legit power gains, looks great (with the carbon tips) and most importantly sounds incredible. Just got to wait for it to be delivered now...
