I assume you meant ZCP. There was never going to be an MY2019 F80. The MY2019 3 Series will be the inaugural year for the new G20. The F30 and F80 will end after MY2018.

So this means no F80's will have steel driveshafts, only the F82 will have steel going forward.

Or perhaps there will be a minuscule number of F80s with steel drive shafts running around. So rare in fact that they will be more valuable.

Still waiting for more concrete info, since everything until now has been 10/18 EOP

Don;t wait regardless, just get an order in now, secure allocation, get production number. ED dept will keep the car until you are ready to pick it up.

True. I ordered my E90 in Jan and didn't take delivery until May. If it's ready early they can keep it safe and clean somewhere.
By the way, first weekend in May is an awesome time to do ED since that is the last weekend of the Spring Fest in Munich, and one of the first weeks you don't need winter tires to go into Austria.
The next weekend is the Barcelona GP, BTW.

had the guys look and on our end we don't see anything that states end of production yet. We do see something that says Silverstone is done 2/18. No sure what that all means but there has not been anything sent to us from BMWNA about end date yet as far as production goes. We are keeping an eye out though

My dealer told me they had run low on SS paint (whatever that means). It actuallly wouldn’t let us order a car in SS for a while. Maybe someone else knows more.

Hmm. Well I secured a production number a few weeks ago for an F80 zcp with a pending request for late june ED. Today my CA confirmed BMW accepted my individual paint (Avus Blue). Sitting at 111.

Official EOP is 10/18, so I highly doubt this is true.

This can well be market specific. Remember that the German market received the F80 1st prior to US launch and the US market had no production last year March through June, 2017. The US market is the #1 M market, don't see this happening as BMW needs to build and sell vehicles. Continue to place your F80 orders, gals & gentlemen.

My Client Advisor is currently in Germany doing some training and while he is there he is doing an ED of a new F80. He told me it is confirmed that the end of production is "after summer" by the people at BMW Germany.

They didn't confirm the 10/18 date we all have been hanging our hats on, but they did state that it will be "after summer."

I think that if this rumor has any legs whatsoever, it is going to boil down to the last few months of F80 production consisting only of the CS model.

The other possibilities are that it only applies to specific countries, or that it is just fabricated BS.
