Drivertrain malfunction - DCT lost even gears

So today I was driving moderately in MDM/S2/Sport throttle and during an upshift I suddenly get a drivetrain malfunction message and the car only operates on odd gears (1,3,5,7). Gears 2,4,6 could not be selected, neither in manual mode nor in auto.

After pulling over and restarting the car, the even gears came back, the malfunction message went away, however a couple of times the car switched itself from S2/S3 into S1 during downshifts. After several miles of further driving, everything seems fine. I am thinking of taking it to the dealer

The car is a Feb. '15 M3 with ca. 12000 miles on it and never ever was it overdriven.

Any thoughts?

Software malfunction?

I would take it in and have them check for codes.
