Morning Caroline Out To Sea Again
I see that the Morning Caroline just left the Port of Baltimore. I'm sure there are a few deliveries to be made soon on the east coat from her.
I know Tanzanite18 and I are waiting for our cars to arrive in Port Hueneme on September 14th. Any others on Morning Caroline for delivery? Estimating Panama Canal in four days...

Looks like the ETA at Port Hueneme got pushed back one day to 9/15. Let's hope that is all it is. The new hurricane Irma is bearing down on the Caribbean. I hope Morning Caroline and Irma do not cross paths!

I saw that too. Hopefully she will make up time and get back to a September 14th arrival.
She is safely in the Pacific now. Here is a pic of her in the Panama Canal earlier today. [IMG][/IMG]

She just got through the Caribbean in between Harvey and Irma and there was just a major earthquake in Mexico just north of her with a tsunami warning. She is dodging some real shit. Let's hope the cars are safe and sound!

She's leaving port right now after dropping off her payload. She docked at 5am today (9/15). Should be a few more days before our sweet rides get to our local destinations...

I just got off the phone with The BMW Genius. He told my car is at the VDC and will be put on a truck on Wednesday and delivered to my dealer on Friday!! So excited but also bummed because I'll be out of town when it arrives at the dealership...
Make sure to post some pics when you get them!

I don't know. I sure hope not. Would the Genius be able to tell? I've read through some of the VDC posts and it sounds like you won't even know if your car has damage unless it is extensive. I guess I'll call in the morning....
When is yours supposed to ship and arrive at the dealership?

I called and I have the same schedule, one week after arrival seems slow. Some people have gotten their car in 3 days. I guess timing we had a bit of bad timing with the car carriers.

Glad to hear you are on a similar schedule. Everything I read about damage to cars during shipping said it usually pushed back the estimated time by a couple of weeks. So I think I'm good.
I think you are right. Just the timing of the car carriers. I've already started scheduling Paint Protection Film, received my painted front reflectors from IND and some M Performance Carbon goodies. Are you adding anything to your M?

I enjoy waxing and sealing the paint I do not think I would like the film. I love the feel of smooth cold metal on the hood and front quarter panels. But I am also getting rid of those huffy reflectors and going to do some coding. Turn on those adaptive headlights, turn on the DVD player and spruce up the Nav. What carbon parts are you adding?

Huffy reflectors - too funny! I hear ya on the bare naked paint and totally get it. I have to put some ppf on because our roads throw up so much gravel and crap.
I'm starting with the mirror caps and we will see where my budget is going forward.... I put a call in to my CA to see if he had any different info than Genius. I'll see what he says about delivery time. Have you heard anything different on yours?

I didn't have time to check out the car when it arrived so I sent my "buyers agent" (my 18 y/o son.) He said it looked great and was still wrapped in the plastic. He only took one pic because he wanted me to see it in person. Thoughtful son. I pick it up tomorrow.

I will say they said a week till it left the VDC and it was at my dealer 2 days later. I think they purposefully lowball expectations for delivery considering how amped people are about getting their fine vehicles. So your car could come a lot sooner. Pick mine up tomorrow! |
