Hyperbole much? My M3 is 2.5 years old and has never rattled. It's not an M3 vs M4 issue, it's an individual car issue.

Before anyone reminds me that the Honda doesn't rise on 20" low profile tires, it still wouldn't make a difference.
Not to sound rude, but no shit a Honda Accord is going to be quiet compared to an M car. I really don't think a lot of people grasp how rigid the F8X chassis is. From the beginning, it's going to be so much more loud than a regular vehicle.
You have no clue what you're talking about. A rigid chassis doesn't always equate to tons of squeaks and rattles. My last few Porsches were very rigid and didn't rattle at all when going over crap asphalt. Nice try.

"Nearly" is right, but not just as, and as a former 340i owner, they drive very differently than the F80, there really is no comparison. FWIW I find the F80 to be nearly as good a daily driver.

You must be kidding. If you really believe that go back to a new 340. Loose, sloppy, floaty. My '17 ZCP is smooth, linear and completely rattle free. In a completely different league than a chipped 340. The M is a much more cohesive piece. If you don't feel that way sell the car to someone who will appreciate it

You said the F80 is nearly as good as the 340 as a daily

Rattles, squeaks, clunks, creaks, squeals, tin can.

It is fast though.

I think your the dreamer. It's an M3 that we are discussing here. You know a track/street car. Just in case you didn't know M=Motorsport. Translation: A car that is equally capable on a track as well as the street. I think Ive heard somewhere that people RACE on a track so yes RACE car. This isn't Grandpas Lexus/Merc.

OP I had the same rattle issues. Took to the dealer and they fixed the rear door seals. Actually they changed all the seals and night and day difference.

As far as another member wishing it was bit more quiet inside, placing dynamat strategically in certain areas will greatly reduce road noise. However it will add weight.

Absolutely in agreement. My brother drives a 340 and to drive his & mine back to back is quite the experience, nut shell....couldn't wait to climb back to my ZCP.

That a little unfair, and a bit narrow minded . The M3/4 was designed to serve more than one function. Unlike the F30 it supposed to be a track performer as well. That means less sound dampening , lighter materials and a stiffer chassis. A stiffer chassis also means an increased chance that the interior components might rub and rattle more. So no, it doesn't have a roll cage and the rear seats aren't ripped out, but it's more a race car than a 340i. You want a rattle free luxury car? Get a Lexus. They're 4000+ pounds and slower. The ride's cushier too.

True but its still a luxury sedan and you are paying a premium for that luxury as well as track capability.

Some of the annoying noises are not due to the stiffness. It's due to lower quality material IMO.

I never said ian M3 cannot serve more than one function.

You guys need to grow up and stop shitting all over the thread...

I've got an M4 and I've had no rattling or squeaking in almost 3 years of ownership. This is even after I've taken the door panels off a couple of times for audio installs.

Maybe you guys are just too sensitive. I love the way the car handles and feels over bumps/uneven roads. I wish it were more raw if anything lol.
