I always put my wallet and iPhone in the cup holders, so I never noticed this.

No biggie, at least I know what it is now, and also I learned how the sensors for if someone is wearing their seat belt works. |

Passenger warning is in the list of codes Full disclosure, I've never used the thing, but sounds like it's super easy |

FWIW, I tried driving around the other day with my 7 in various positions on the front seat. Couldn't get the chime to kick on at any point.

Seat belt light on when no one sitting in seat
Hey I'm having a problem my seat I think my belt chime is going off for my pass side and no one is sitting in the seat I put it in went off and then took it out and it stoped. Is this common problem I feel like just a simple seat recalibration for the weight sensor might be needed ! I recently put in a jb4 and went map 2 ,plugs , charge pipes , cold side pipe ,but I don't think this has anything to do with it, just weird it happened at the same time .

Phone charging on passenger seat will do that.

Yep. This has happened to me too. Having a phone on the passenger seat occasionally triggers the sensor, but phone plus another small, light object (e.g., a hat) seems to do it all the time. I ended up having it turned off via coding and haven't had any issues/annoyances since.
