Number of Possible Permutations for Throttle, Steering, Suspension, DCT, and DSC

Not sure if a similar thread has been created but here it is. The answer to the question that no- one asked, lol.

Each setting (Steering, Susp, Throttle, DCT, DSC) has 3 states so to get the total # of permutations we just multiply by 3 or raise the power of 3 accordingly.

For example:

27 Possible Permutations if a car is a manual with passive suspension, since you can only adjust Throttle, Steering and DSC. 3^3= 27

81 Possible Permutations if a car is a manual with with adaptive suspension, 3^4= 81

243 possible Permutations for those with DCT and Adaptive susp, since it's possible to adjust all. 3^5= 243

EDIT, I knew I was missing something. Thanks @backagain for the correction.

It's been a while since I took calculus but I believe my calculations are correct. Feel free to chime in if I made a mistake. I can post a whole list of each individual Permutation if anyone wants but I think I bored you all enough.

Not boring at all! I don't have your analytic ability, but I know that this is what makes this wonderful machine so intriguing to me. I love the fact that I can have a relatively different car to drive almost anytime I want to play around with the settings a little. It is just fantastic. Best car I have ever owned on so many levels!

To be completely accurate, DCT has 6 modes (D1/2/3 and S1/2/3). So the permutation is 486

Consumer driven "I want more choices BS". Cars like these need 2 settings. Traction control on and Traction control off.
