Such a snowflake to be so insecure about the color of a car. You can't even make a post about green paint without bringing politics into it.

If one cares about the minor residual value impact of paint color on a 70k+ rapidly depreciating asset then they probably can't afford the car.

Maybe people like the color? Ever consider that? I would prefer an M4 in Fire Orange, just because I like the way it looks. The increased attention (from police especially) would be a negative but I would do it anyway.

I have a Daytona Violet M3 on order because I like the color. Purple is my favorite color in fact.

When I park my car and turn around to look at it, I'm gonna think...damn that car is sexy. Not, is anyone else looking at me parking my car.

I couldn't care less what anyone thinks about the color. I love it. That's all that matters.

I'm a day trader and assets manager. My clients never gave a fuck what color of my car is coz they don't see it.

I got to see these two beauties today! While they were both incredible to see in the flesh, I did feel like the colors should have been swapped between the M3 and M4. The green was a bit too crazy on the M3, IMHO, but would have looked at home on the M4 w/ the wing and all. Daytona Violet is just sooo pretty that it seems made for the M3's slightly sexier curves. Who am I kidding though? I'd take either one in a heartbeat!

My previous M3 was Daytona Violet which was super rare as it is my understandin that is was only offered as an M color in 1995 and most countries had the choice of a green and not violet with the USA being an exception. You could get it individual color thought.

I had a 1995 Daytona Violet Luxury Edition M3. I got so many compliments about that car. It was my first M car.

Hey guys, I'm a BMW genius at a local dealership and am working the BMW booth a few times this week.

The M4 is actually Purple Silk Metallic and it's absolutely gorgeous in person with all the performance M parts. The MSRP is sitting at 131k (I've seen the monroney).

I'm working the auto show again tomorrow so if anyone has any more info they want on any of the display cars I'll try my best to get it.
