Why did you decide to tune using JB other than for the reason you just mentioned, why did you tune at all?
No tune is undetectable, some just require more effort than others. If you're going to tune, you need to be aware of, and accept the risk that BMW may find out about it and deny warranty claims in the future. If warranty is a concern, Dinan is really the only option as my understanding is they will cover you if BMW doesn't.

That is my thinking too, which brings up the question...does this model really need a tune?

I had EC Tune in my M5 and it was garbage compared to what's on the market today. I don't know how the other shops operate but I do not recommend EC Houston for BMW tunes. Customer service is also lacking.

I had a euro charged tune on my e60 m5. That tune was complete shit. The car would idle too low when cold. Also it had knocking issues even with 94 octane gas. I had the dealer flash my car back to stock within 2 weeks. Didn't even get a refund from those fools.
