The M4 itself is still a ways off, it's hard for me to worry about other parts.

Jason, any idea if this M Performance exhaust is also an Akrapovic product as it is for the M5/M6?

I can't believe nobody has asked...

Anyone know how many horsepower the M-Performance foot mats add?

I am little bit disappointed that front lip blade is not CF, but I guess that will bring down the cost a bit.
I think it is better to wait for Eisenmann or Super Sprint once. The usually sound more loud.
I had Akra slip-on on my 335i and then Super Sprint (racing) on my 1M, and to be honest, I like the SS sound more, but Akra is def lighter and has a high quality.
The stock exhaust sounds not bad too, may be to go just with carbon tips will be enough for this car.

I like the diffuser, front lip (that one that was in the concept one), spoilr and grill. And hate thi side skirt.

If the M Performance exhaust (front) + Eisenmann race is as loud/agressive as it was for the E9x M, this would be an awesome setup!

The sound of a F8x we can compare only with 1M or 335i, because it will never like a v8 at 8300rpm)
I got the Super Sprint racing exhaust on my 1M an full decat standard exhaust (resonators in the central part). So the sound was really nice, not annoying, but really recy(if I can say like that from the word racing).

+1. They must be some super duper high performance track oriented uber mats. They're probably stronger AND lighter than the standard floor mats, thereby lowering the cars center of gravity for faster lap times. If they cost less than $1k I may order two sets. One to keep in the car and one to hang on my garage wall.

This is how it sounds like

THIS IS INSANE :

Is that the M Perf exhaust? It doesn't sound terrible but sort of like a cigarette boat with an underwater exhaust.

THIS IS INSANE :

It sounds as good as this car is going to sound like. Looking at how much they are charging for the perf exhaust option in the M5, that exhaust is probably going to be an 7-8k option.

That being said, people need to stop criticizing the sound of the M3/M4 and come to terms with it. There is a very specific sound that an inline 6 engine will make and it will not sound like an exotic car or a V8 and it will sound like a leaf blower on idle and won't be as aggressive when it is being revved. Everyone has to get used to this and make peace with it. It's counter productive to constantly argue about this.
