So, I think that the real question here should be: "At what biological age did you buy your first BMW, and how old did it make you feel after your first drive?" |

I was 24 when I got my 2013 M3 Competition Package E92. Man I miss that car! Jet Black on Fox Red Leather. Love the music it produced in 3rd and 4th gear at 3,500 rpms to 4,500 rpms. My current F82 is quicker though but doesn't sound as good as the E92. There was just something about having a naturally aspirated motor. Eventually I will buy another in the E90 platform down the road.

98? M3 = 22yrs
03? M3 = 27yrs 09? M3 = 33yrs 15? M4 = 38yrs 16? M4 = 40yrs The 16? is my 27th car. I had a relatively successful career with one company for 15 years prior to my current and less lucrative (way more fulfilling now) 2nd career. Finished school on scholarship, zero help from parents. They were not in a position to help with anything. Wouldn?t change a thing. |

35 when I bought a '99 M3 in black. Sold it as I had bought it as a 3rd car (325i was the daily). Sold it and the 325i and waited 11 years until my next M3 (2018 comp package) that I bought about 2 weeks ago. Great decision.

23 when I took out a loan for a 2015 M4 shortly after getting hired into my first real job. After about 5 months I realized what a terrible financial decision I had made and got out of it and into a 2008 M3. My bank account was much happier and that allowed me to save up for a down payment on a house 6 months later.
