New photos of Sakhir Orange on Silverstone Interior

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
First off I am no good at taking pictures, these were taken with just a point and shoot. I've had the car for almost 3 weeks and I finally completed the full detail, cleaning, clay bar and wax for the car. I had to learn how to wash/wax/detail the car because each car is different and the M4 is no exception due to the creases/curves and gaping holes. It was about 6 hours of work but I am happy with the result. Sakhir Orange as many have said is a difficult color to catch on pictures but it is easy to tell this is a chameleon paint from the factory and I love it. Interior is surprising not as difficult to maintain as others have mentioned. Mind you I don't have kids and I take good care of my cars.

The only thing that I wish BMW could've done was to have leather on the lower door instead of the plastic.

Pictures attached hope you enjoy.

Looks sharp! Care to share what you've learned during your 6 hour cleaning exercise?

The most difficult is the front bumper due to the gaping holes and vents, then the side gills because it is a functions piece where the air comes out I tend to want to clean that bit inside as well. The rear bumper is not too bad but again the vertical vents are a pain to clean. It's not difficult but if you are picky like me I tend to clean every little hole, crease and vent. For some reason it seems the car attracts these tiny spec of dust and lint a lot more than my previous/current cars. I use microfiber and these are brand new ones too. Seems strange.

To add to my response I find using Q Tips for the small holes/vents works really well but be prepared to use a lot of them.

Yes SO is brilliant. The problem I see with it is that if it ever gets into an accident the color would be very difficult to match.

Well that's a relief to know that I'm not the only one who does this

By the way, how does one avoid a wax build or dirt around the edges of the film on the back wheels?
