Exclamation AWESOME little mod :) (Valve control)

Ok guys I went in for a Awron and was approached by Tom@EAS with this new module that basically changed my whole outlook on my car. Let me explain why IMO you need this.

So the module is made my Macht Schnell. The device was only 500$ (only 500! well compared to Awron with valve control which is 1500, its a steal)

To show me how it worked he walked to my car and plugs this little plastic square into the ECU obd2 port. He goes to the turn signal and presses the button that is right above the automatic headlight button and presses it. My left turn signal blinks and I instantly hear my valve open!! He clicks it again and the right turn signal flashes and the valve instantly closed! It was literally click open click close. Then he clicked it again and both turn signals blink and boom its OEM mode and goes to default.

I was amazed. No cutting, no vent removal nothing. So I said wait a second is this thing hang down out of the OBd2 port? nope. The install gets hidden under the panel and goes completely undetected!!

Wait there is more. It also is a CEL delete for DPs!!

So this device is a simple plug and play and lets you open and close the valves at will all through the upper menu button on the turn signal, and will delete the cel for DPs. WOW.

You can also default the car to start with valves open, closed, or OEM. So for those of you who want to hear the crazy loud cold start overtime you can set it have valves stay open on start everytime.

So I was sold. Now here is the REALLY cool and shocking part.

I installed the DPs so now I'm full system. With the valves closed Im not shitting you guys the car is basically the same level as stock. I drove my wife around today who won't drive in the car and she said her mini was louder then this! BUTTTT I open the valves the car is SUPER LOUD and the downshift bring me back to my AKRA GT4 catless set up. I instantly fell even more in love with my car from this little mod.

The valve open and close in sport + and sport etc.. show me that they are not always open in sport + bc I drove it around in OEM mode and the valves were rarely open at low speeds and never when the car was cold. Now I can open and close them whenever I want with a push of a button. This is such a slick mod.

You want to get DPs?? Go get them. Get this mod and close the valves and you will be fine. Open the valves when you want to unleash the sounds of the beast.

here is a vid where you can clearly hear the module in action. Ill work on a video later that shows the inside process. Just wanted to get this out so you guys can get one while you can. Im sure they will go fast.

Thanks again Tom@EAS for this awesome Mod I love it!

Muted cold start now?? Check it out

** we tried it on a 228 and a 428 GC and it worked exactly the same. So looks like this device can control the valves on all the new BMWs with valves

Don't get me wrong Awron is AWESOME but just a little overkill for me. This was something was simple plug and play and good to go. Once you get the firmware for Awron you will love it. I really enjoyed trying it out on Toms car

thats the beauty. Everything works the same as if it was never there. The turn signals that blink are only shown on the dash and the lights them selves are not blinking. Its just a visual to show you what mode your in

you def are good to go with DPs now. MPE with DPs I bet will sound insane!

here is the crazy thing. I can't confirm anything so please don't take this as gospel but I can tell you what I am experiencing.

This morning I turned the car on (electric side only) foot off the brake. I clicked the valves open, clicked the valves closed then started the car and drove off. NO COLD start. it was super silent. So I was baffled. Went golfing car sat for 5 hours. I did the same exact procedure. Turned car on open valves, closed valves started the car and put it drive immediately and drove off car was quiet. It almost like it deleted the cold start. Now I could be way off so I'm going to try it again tomorrow and record it to see. But who knows it could be something that opening and closing the valves tricks the ECU, but I doubt it. Ill know more tomorrow and let you know

the one thing I can confirm though driving with valves closed and full system the car is just like stock. No drone nothing. My wife was in shock and so was I. It really is amazing how much sound changes in volume with valves closed/open

So if you're driving and open/close the valve ----- or even in a parking lot ----- people will see your turn signal blink? In the parking lot they'll think we're drunk and hit the turn signal. hahaha.

Oh and does the device have to stay in the OBD2 port the all the time?

Definitely wouldn't want that.

The EVC module uses the interior indicators on the gauge cluster up as a visual confirmation of which mode you're in. Outside blinkers are unaffected.

Figured that, just wanted to see if it flashes outside as well.

I did a ninja edit on you, so does the device have to stay in the OBD2 port the all the time?

This taps into the OBD2 port wiring under the kickpanel the driver's side, accessible by (2) 10mm nuts. Total install is about 20 minutes and completely hidden from sight and completely invisible from diagnostic equipment.

Complete and total integration was the goal for this nifty little module. Those that have dropped by the shop for a demo thought the these were actually factory features.
