Feedback/question after K&N install...
I installed K&N air filters on Saturday + did the charcoal filter delete – although the car has only ~500 miles, the up changes seem to have a more pronounced sound – a more pronounced back-fire sound on harder acceleration between changes – just as addicting as the blipping on down shifts! I haven’t heard more sound from the turbos, but this may change after the 1200 service, when I can really crank it up…
So, my question -- I know the engine is 'breathing' better, but why the louder back-fire sound from the exhaust between the upshifts?

I did BMC filters and charcoal delete today. Haven't heard any backfiring. I hear more spooling. Whistle sounding. OEM exhaust? Manual or DCT?
