never had this happen, I have a MY18 M4 as well but I've had the dealership do a DME update recently as I would randomly have my M buttons not work but now it's all good. I suggest taking it to the dealership, they would probably also do a DME update

I've had this happen. I haven't been able to concretely figure out why it happens but it seems to happen most when I mess with my seat position. For example, do you use M2 when you get in/out of the car?

Does M2 move back without holding the button?

Hold down your seat memory button and see what happens.

I use M2 for my seat position. I have been messing with the seat to find the right position. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I think I figured it out. I adjusted the height of the HUD then programmed the seat memory to M2. I pressed M1 and watched the HUD go back to default. So you have to set the HUD height then program a seat memory button and it'll save to that button.

nice find man! I guess I never had this problem because I've only programmed M1 for the seat settings and never played with it. Strange how the seat position settings are tied with the HUD

It actually makes perfect sense that another driver in a different seating position may want the HUD saved to their own seat position.

Their eye level and view outside would be different than another driver.
