So if we gather correctly from your signature, the press reveal photos and media material will be dispersed July 29th, and the in-flesh reveal for Pebble Beach in August?

I am looking forward to this one, but don't have my hopes up too high. I am afraid it will be the same bait and switch reveal as they did with the 4 series concept coupe. Amazing concept reveal, watered down production car.

July 29th is the date on which the BMW i3 will officially be revealed.

In 3 simultaneous locations ( New York, London and Beijing): http://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=867767

M concepts have always been extremely close to the production version. Recent models are good example - both the F10 M5 and E92 M3 were virtually the production versions.

July 29th is the i3 unveil.
I suspect the M4 concept will be closer to the M5 concept in regards to the final product. I.e pretty much a production ready car.

Is this an invitation only event, or the general public can also take a look?
It's a relatively short drive for me from SF, would love to take a look at it!!!

Is it fair to assume The M4 Concept will also be displayed at the BMWCCA Oktoberfest Laguna Seca event the week following Pebble Beach?

The E92M Concept car was dead on, except that it was wearing the E46M CSL wheels. That said, the 4-series Concept was far more aggressive than the production 435i ended up being.

I really hope we get details on the rumored weight saving technology and also specs on the FI.

Any chance on base price range, or are we going to have to wait until Detroit for that?

July 29 is the global launch of the BMW i3 which will launch simultaneously in Munich , Beijing , New York and Munich.

And you can thank the i3 for its material innovation and why it has delayed the launch of the M3.

We won't get release details of the Concept until the week before Pebble Beach.

As per all M Concepts it will be static and off limits , no official details as per normal will be confirmed until launch later this year - BMW like to keep their competitors guessing. And the M3 and M4 will do exactly that.

After Pebble Beach it will attend global events before appearing at the Frankfurt IAA in September.

You can find the media shoot models of both M3 and M4 going crazy in South Africa.

Thank you i3, I hope you blow all sales records out of the water. More money for BMW to sink into M cars and more petrol left to run them

Did you read Jason's post (#24) above?

I have a feeling you will be paying very close attention to this concept like everyone else here as well as enthusiasts and the automotive world at large.
