That interior thing!

On the exterior both are close where the BMW has the edge in brutishness while the Mercedes is slightly more pretty.

The interior though the Merc has the edge in design in my opinion although I must say driving a new S class I was surprised at how it was not as well sorted out from a tactile and ergonomic angle.

M4 hands down... On paper the merc has more power and torque but bmw have always underrated their cars potential. The 317kw/550nm or 425hp/406lb torque is pretty much at the wheels. Don't be fooled by the fact that a v8 twin turbo > inline6twin turbo. The smaller displacement means it is lighter, can rev higher and the turbos spool much faster. Both can do 0-100km/hr in 3.9secs and 12 sec flat 1/4mile, but the M4 is a pure enthusiasts track car, and the merc is a rich bitches car who can't drive. Having said that there is no hesitation whatsoever if someone gave it to me, but dollar for dollar I would pick the M4...

I don't understand the complain about the rear, it look very sleek to me!
It does, it's a forum and most of the members here are hardcore fans of the Bmw division. Don't get me wrong I am too, but you have learn to love and appreciate other car makers. the C63 coupe is absolutely a beautiful car a deposit was place she will be seating next to Lucy (m4) in a few months.

You can't put the two side by side. It's not fair. The M4 just looks too damn good.

M3 / M4 are easily the best looking of their market. Between the ATS-V, C63 and RCF, F80/2 beats them all!

Obvious to me that when they were drawing the MB prototype, they had an M4 in the same room. Waaaay to many similarities between the two cars, with the exception of the interior. This car completely modeled after the M4, BMW needs to take it as a compliment.

Looks ten times better in a different color.

I've never preferred the little peace sign on on all their grills, its also a light up option. Next thing they'll do is run a rainbow through it!

One example... there are others where it wasn't faster on track. Put the MB on a lapping day and see how the weight kills it and also expect heat issues (MB may have fixed that but we'll see). In terms of "track performance", my view is they are all pretty even but the reality is very few, if any, MB's will show up at a track. They are built for a different buyer and that is pretty obvious. It comes down to aesthetics, personal preference and feel as to which is better IMO.

I sound like a broken record but if MB had put a proper transmission in the car, my view may not be as favorable to the M4. No MT is a killer for some, no DCT is a killer for me. I'd take the ATS-V in a manual over the C63 even though I like the C63 interior MILES better.

One more thing, just an observation although, the guys that dog this MB, this car is beautiful front back and sides, the key to happiness is to believe that what you have now is the best, no matter if it's your dog, wife, kids, car, as long as you think it's the best that's all that matters and you stay happy.

Some of us just like to reassure ourselves through putting other things down, that our shit is better. Most people that comment on how cool a certain thing is as though there's nothing better, like a car color, wheels, mods, etc, if they really liked it that much, they'd have it. With that said, I reeeely love my f82 M4, Alpine White, with SS interior. lol

If that M4 was white, the comparison would be even more useful.

Except that a dct m4 is close to 3700 lbs. it's nowhere near those figures.
Bmw quotes dry weight and their claim was simply that, a claims. The Merc is actually very representative of real world figures. Both are still very heavy cars either way.

M4 for me. Initially I was worried that I would like this C63 better but something seems off about it.

They both look awesome. Though in my opinion, by a fractional margin, front end goes to BMW and tail end goes to merc. But again, it's by hairs! They're both incredible looking vehicles regardless!

AMG C63s coupe for me thanks! M4 looks good but C63 coupe looks more aggressive and expensive at the same time. M4 looks like its going to business, C63s means business.
