CEL - No Error Codes on Display

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey fellas,

The CEL is on but no error messages on iDrive. No loss of power or limp mode. Its been raining all week in Los Angeles and I've got a Max PSI front mount intake. I'm guessing the filter is wet enough to affect how much air is getting through could that be affecting the sensors and triggering the CEL? I've also got a tune, charge pipes and a highflow catted downpipe.

Going to wait until it stops raining and everything dries up and hope the CEL goes away.

Does CEL always come up with error codes on the iDrive or is that just for more serious/catastrophic events?

Hi

New here, and new to M series. Just got an 15 M3 & CEL is on: What do I need to buy to check the codes and erase them. Thank you all in advance!

Bluetooth OBD2 communicator. Plenty of them on Amazon. Then, just find a suitable app on your phone. I use Torque Lite because it's free and it works for me. Total out of pocket cost was $25

If you have an android tablet just download MHD for f8x and buy a micro usb to obd2 adapter off ebay and you can read the error codes for free.
