I'm sort of on the fence, car looks great and technology is amazing (don't get me wrong) but somehow the little details that the e9X platform had like the hood vents for example, would've been nice to give the front end more aggressiveness and specially break up the hood/front section a bit which seems super long.

Amen, brudda. They're just rationalizing. It's the same dynamic as guys making decisions at closing time at a bar. They wake up in the morning and say "Oh jeebus, what was I thinking?" M4 by a mile.

I'm torn between the M3 and M4. Looks wise the M4 has a slight edge but the added doors makes the M3 more appealing to me (have two kids who love to ride in my //M). Waiting for the competition package.

That's going to be a tough decision.

1.) Go ahead and order
2.) Wait for ZCP in the next MY
3.) Wait for a 2015 Mustang 5.0-B302/351-GT350
4.) Wait to see if Mopar ever gets off their ass.

Your decision should have been very straightforward - keep the GT3

Too focused and uncompromising. There is a reason why they're traded so much with such low miles...nobody drives them.

You can tell this is going to be a decade of good times and economy, because car makers are being more daring and less sterile. Bright colors, expressive style. Good things

so m3 lovers are sniffing glue....are you injecting glue to take an m4 in front of a gt3?

edit: I think in this color, the m3 looks too 335i msport-ish....needs to be ANYTHING other than any blue....and the wheels??? they could have done a little better I think....what do you guys think the csl style wheels will look like on these cars?

The GT3 is a very focused model. Imo too focused for my use and it's a tad expensive for it to sit in the garage and pay insurance on it more than driving it. I'm also heavily involved with instructing and control riding at sport bike track days; so there was no real urgency for me to take the GT3 to the track as I did 17 motorcycle track days this year.

The GT3 was the highest performance car I've ever owned but there are sacrifices associated with having a car like that. I'm hoping the M4 will be middle ground for my use of it.

Funny thing about the name change is that I can see the community splitting with M3 guys on one side and M4 guys on the other.. I personally dont see why everybody is so impressed by the M3. I also think it looks like a family car that trying to be sporty (not that there is anything wrong with that). That being said, a 2 door car just naturally suggest a more sporty intent. I am loving the new M4 and this is the exact color combo I am ordering!

Nice position to have 'been there done that' with such a halo car. I'll have my turn some day.
