P/N: BH8301 - Axel Back exhaust with Valves and Carbon Fiber Tips (uses the OEM valve actuator) $2195.95

Also, more video here. They say the video just doesn't do it justice! They are starting the down pipes tomorrow. Also doing some dyno today I think, I'll post numbers if I get them.
thats some good pricing I think you going to sell plenty at that price
considering the Akra and MP are 3 times the money.

brilliant.

Should do a stock M4 CZP rev next to it in comparison. I think the audio sounds a bit quiet, but having a reference point would allow us to see the difference in sound volume.

Pricing is definitely on the reasonable side.

Curious as to what the mid pipe option will run for.

They've sent us these pics and video so far, with their permission to post with the disclaimer that this product is still under development so subject to change and not yet available.

I'm excited with what they have so far! I'll keep the thread updated with pics as I get them. Looking and sounding great so far!

Their comments on the video were that it sounds better in person, they felt the mic was a little too close.

What y'all think?
Is this youtube video with just the axelback or axelback and midpipe? Looks like just axelback assuming the pictures are the setup of the video, and if so

That would be a killer price for the whole system minus DP’s.
I still smell a M tax there 😁

Sorry it’s been a while between updates, they were working on down pipes last week and finally got the catted version completed late on Friday. Here are a few photos of the prototypes.

From the engineer:
"We are using a new cat for this application that is a lot more compact than the cat we normally use, it’s a 200 cell per inch (CPI) metal foil substraight that should flow very well. We are trying a new formula for the wash coat on the substraight that will hopefully satisfy the OBD II diagnostic monitor and prevent the check engine light from coming on. This will require a good 500-1000 miles with no fault codes for me to be comfortable saying they will not set a code for the catalyst monitor.

We will be fixturing the catted down pipes and building the Non-Catted proto types in the next couple days, I'll keep you updated on that progress and hopefully we can get the car back to you at the end of next week.

I also have Mid Pipe pricing available if you would like to share that information. We will be releasing the mid pipe in 2 versions, one to the factory Muffler and one to the Blackheart Axel back. This way the system will be a true dual 3” system from the down pipe connection all the way to the Blackheart Axel back with no neck downs.
Sorry still no projected release dates!!

PN: BH8303 Mid pipe with resonators to Factory BMW Muffler $ 899.99
PN: BH8304 Mid pipe with resonators to Blackheart Axel Back $ 1099.99
(The price difference is simply material and added hardware )"

Love. Thanks for the update. I'm gonna do the whole system once I hear a video of the whole thing to be sure. Definitely sold though.

Hey,

F.Y.I.: "Akra" is Ti.

Titanium is (+-) about "3 times the money" of Stainless Steel and much harder to work with.

Cheers!

I agree, and you spot on but sorry mate, either I dont make enough money or I see it as a waste dropping 7k US on an exhaust that will gain 10hp and that gain comes more from the mid pipe and removal of the secondary cats.

The stock exhaust system is actually very efficient when valves are open.
the only thing going for it, is a weight saving of 6-7 pounds with an akra slip on.

I am in for a midpipe, looks well made and the pricing is damn good.

Hey,

You are absolutely Correct!

An Exhaust alone, as an upgrade, is mostly self gratification and the "Akrapovic Ti Evo."
is an Art piece (which no one can see, once installed!) that you'd have to be willing to
shell out for as such.

Cheers!

Midpipe was posted on the previous page, post #79

They are finished with the development of parts and would have had sound clips with the full exhaust but had technical difficulties with the camera so that'll have to wait til first of the week. For those interested, here are marketing photos.
