BMW Lease assumption process: Superb !
The service was GREAT ! I assumed the lease from a fellow forum member and the whole process was a breeze !
Overall it took only 3 days !! Which was amazing. Step 1: I had to fill up the credit application and in 10 minutes, I got the approval !! Step 2 : Both parties were asked to fill out the documentation and mail them. They ask to overnight the documentation. They also provide sample docs, so there is no confusion/questions while filling out. You will get an email stating they received the stage 2 docs. Step 3: Assumption complete. The next working day after BMW got the paper work from both parties, I got an Assumption complete email ! They reviewed if the documentation provided was accurate. Once you have the email, you can go and pick your car up, they will mail you the actual hard copies via 2 day FedEx. You can take possession of the car, once you get the email. They say it might take up to 3 weeks, but it truly only takes 3 days, if both parties are in sync !! Customer support was also great, I had questions and called them multiple times. Overall a GREAT experience ! I thought I will share my experience, so it will help anybody who has doubts. |

Congrats on the new car!
This is lease assumption through BMWFS? People always mention swap lease, but I've never heard anyone talk about any service BMW offered. |

Swap a lease is a website to help people find others to swap a lease with. All they do is connect people. BMWFS handles all the paper work and the actual swap since they own the lease.

Hey Yes. The lease assumption is through BMWFS. Swapalease.com and leasetrader.com are websites, where you find people offering their cars for lease assumption. I found one on this forum (member classifieds) |

Haven't done this but my guess would be an amended lease contract with updated miles, odometer statement, titling paperwork and possibly temporary registration paperwork(unless this is handled separately which is possible). There is probably something releasing the original buyer from any damages if there are any as well as releasing them from lease end obligations.

They opened up a new branch called up2drive that finances any car. You apply directly through them. I applied Monday morning, 10 min later had approval asking for call back. Called back, got the terms that were very good, next day I have check in my hand. Once my ordered vehicle is here, I bring the check to the dealer, they send in documentation, and get the clearance to deposit the check and release the car. They are awesome!
