Its my daily driver and I've calculated >14K miles/yr. I was just blown away by the prices he was giving me.
Scouring this forum and based on the price above. It looks like the warranty can be had at a more reasonable price. Anyone else get quoted somewhere <3000 for 7yr/100k platinum? |

Yes. When I bought my 1M there was someone on the 1addicts forum who organized a group buy. It was a complicated process, but we got a significant break off of what most people got as quotes from their dealers.

I'm not calling the OP a liar, but I have to wave the bullshit flag on that price for some reason. Knowing what the pricing was on the E92, I just can't see the Platinum 100k mi being that little. I hope for the OPs sake it is, but I'm just extremely skeptical. I would bite at that price tomorrow and I NEVER buy the extended warranties until the original runs out.
Edit: Maybe the $250 deductible is what's driving the price down? I know my Platinum was $50 deductible but alot more expensive.

In Switzerland we have 2y full warranty on all parts, 4y "normal" warranty on parts (which excludes normal wear and tear and some other minor things compared to full warranty ) and a free 4 year / 100k KM service plan, whichever is reached first. after the 4y warranty period is over, I was offered extension for around 1200 USD for 2 years, through the dealer, but with a 3rd party. that was on a 335 BMW and it was worth every penny, as a couple of months after the 4y were over, I had to have the engine repaired, the parts were 11k alone and all was covered through the extended warranty.

This is true, you can add the extended W anytime up to the end of the current 4y/50k expiration. I would wait till that point, see what you have replaced to date, injector banks, turbos, etc, (high dollar parts), before making my mind up. If you haven't sufficiently beaten the crap out of the s55 and replaced a bunch of parts under the standard warranty, I'd consider the extended.

Perhaps the $250 deductible is what caused it to be so low. Did anyone have a warranty on the e92? What was your deductible? |

$50 was my deductible. I think I have the pricing sheet also from the E92 somewhere.
