Might want to consider a Pro service - matching the color can be tricky but def doable - I have creases in this area also but looks like maybe you have jeans studs or something you are wearing that is abrading the color off also - looks very specific? Just thinking of avoiding a repeat in future should you get it repaired!

Yea, jeans have wrecked havoc, along with me being irresponsible . Will definitely consider just getting it repaired professionally. Thanks!

Is this common on the merino leather cars? My f30 335 with 80k miles has been through a lot and i never cared for the seats and they look superb and tight, my m3 with 3k miles is already developing wrinkles and wear!

Whats the best way to make sure the leather doesn't get worn out?

I have to say I am quite surprised with the amount of issues I am reading in relation to the leather on the F8x platform! I have had 4 other BMWs for extended periods of time (one I still have with 7 yrs of daily use) with 0 issues in relation to the seats/leather. Hoping these are isolated instances but I am starting to get worried

To be honest, it might be easier for you to simply buy that leather directly from BMW and then fit the bottom half of your seat with brand new leather.

I think i've seen them being sold on Turner for 2-300 dollars?

Sad thing is that mine is starting to show wear at 9000 miles. I have a X5 with 40000 miles and is in better condition.

I really think that it's the leather specific to the F8X

I ended up selling the M3 and downgraded to a M235i, Dakota leather might not feel as nice but at least i have one less thing to worry about

Having just purchased that part, you are WAY OFF on price.
