Black or white paint?

Thoughts on black cars vs white ones? Black looks cooler, but hides lines and easy to scratch. White shows less dirt, better for resale?

I would go with a darker color... gaps on the F8x are horrible and very visible in a white car.

If you are going to get paint protection film, I'd go with black between those two choices to ensure you don't see any yellowing, which is most visible on white. Otherwise, white.

I've had both black and white and white is much easier to keep clean / maintain appearance.

I have not noticed any varying gaps in this car with white. White is superior overall obviously because you don't see swirls and what not, but when clean will never look as good as black does. Providing you clean black properly. Which is a bitch.

Clean black looks absolutely gorgeous!
Unfortunately, black cars stay clean for about 5-10 minutes. Even parked in a clean garage, black paint will show dust particles in no time. Extremely frustrating. For me - never again!

Personally, I'm not a big fan of white, since it will also hide F8x chassis beautiful body lines. But between the two, I would go with white every time.

Have a Dark Blue Mercedes which looks dirty the next day after I wash it. My MW F83 looks great for days to a week after I wash it. Dark cars show everything. Go with the white, I'll never go dark again. Besides, the CF trim looks awesome against MW!

If you maintain the car properly, dark.

If you want to spend as little time possible cleaning the car, white

I doubt there is a resell difference based on color really. There is always someone who wants a dark black car, and someone who wants a white car. I would never base color choice on how it might resell, at least not for a car like this...maybe for a collector car.

Black, but i'm biased.

substantially reduce the scratches and maintenance with a good ceramic coating and/or PPF.

If you're worried about resale, get white since it's more of a female color and will appeal to both genders.

Depends on the car.

Black looks slick, sophisticated, and somewhat sporty.

White looks very sporty but only when the car it's an ///M or AMG car with flared fenders and big wheels. Otherwise white reeks of "base model." It will always look good, but it's missing that level of satisfaction you get after washing it cause it won't look that different from when it was dirty.

The problem with black is that when you wash it and then start drying it front to back, by the time you are drying the back the front is already dirty again.
I'd totally get a black car if I thought I could keep it clean enough.

If you decide on White I'm looking to do a lease transfer on my 16 M3. Well equipped with a sticker just under 80k.
