F80 M3 rotor size
Based on current spy pictures, do we have data if the rotors will be bigger than the current 360mm rotors on E9x M3?

So far no one knows for sure but what we can tell is that the calipers appear to be the same from the F30 Performance Brakes. Those brakes are 370x30 in the front which is larger in diameter but thinner than the e9x fronts and 345x24 rearward, which are both smaller in diameter and thickness. They are also slotted and drilled. The F8X has been seen with only drilled disks so I would assume same caliper (could be different bore sizes or few other factors) with different rotors. Expect larger than what we have now. Would have been cool to get the front brakes from the M5/6. Large and sexy.

Oh interesting. I didn't know F30 perf has larger diameter brakes than E9x M. If history repeats itself, brakes on the new M3 should not differ too much from current F10 M5. For example E60 M5 has 376x36 vs E9x M3 380x30 (i think im recalling correcty on thickness).

Yeah I highly doubt the rotors will be 390mm monstrosities that are on the M5/6. In a perfect world. I am sure they will put something more than effective on the car though.

correct stock E9x M3 front rotors are 360mm
My guess is that the F80 will be either 370mm (like the Mperformance brakes) or 380mm

It might depend on the factory wheel options as well. If you can not get the car with 18" but only 19" or 20" wheels then they could fit a bit larger brakes. I also think 370 mm is a good guess as 380 mm is very large for a 19" wheel.
