Actually it is. There hasn't been loyalty or other rebates for a while either. So it's affecting everyone

When I purchased my 2016 F80 in June last year, there wasn't any rebate or loyalty discount available.

Well, that's you, and this is my wife's car, so she will choose what she likes. She isn't going for unique, she's going for what she likes. If she can get Le Mans Blue, she'll get that, but that has apparently been denied after a couple of cars were done in LMB in '15. We'll see.

We have a friend that has an E46 M3 in LSB and actually just bought a used '15 M3 in LSB which he's currently in the process of driving down from Portland. We'll see it on Sunday. While my wife appreciates LSB, it looks too much like "Smurf blue" to her. She likes deep, rich blues. Her money, her choice.

Hello all,

First time posting. I'm getting out of an Audi S4 lease and (hopefully) into an F80. I went to place my MY2018 M3 order last week and was told that production doesn't begin until July (as has been confirmed many times on here). Out of curiosity, since this is my first time ordering and I have no idea how BMW operates, does that mean the dealer can't take my order until July? Seems to me if production starts in July, there should be orders taken before then. Or am I wrong about that? Sorry if this has been asked and answered. Until then, looks like I'm at the hands of DC's amazing (not) public transit system.

Thanks for the help,

JSM

Executive package on the M4 is only $2100...but doesn't include PDC or heated steering wheel.

I'm interested to see how much it costs on the M3 since it seems to include it?

Also...how can BMW release a few allocations but no pricing????

Your dealer can take your order anytime however BMW will not produce your car until they publish their Ordering/Pricing guides and a factory production allocation is granted/production number is issued to the selling dealer. Production for the 2018 M3 do starts in July, but normally official orders start about 4-5 weeks before production start month.

Right now only a few production numbers have been issued, but no guides have been published.

Thank you for that. I guess it's worth the extra few weeks of waiting. Gives me time to tweak my order. Still debating whether I want the CCB system. Love the advantages, hate the infamous squeaking.

In my particular case, my order was worked directly with Individual for a September ED so the order timing was specified months ago. We were expecting a production number right after week 19 so the Individual lead time + production matched the desired ED date. Pricing is no problem as we used the 2018 M4 prices and I have the Individual pricing. So this production number was expected around this time.

Very well said. My wife has a similar taste as yours. She also likes the dark blue color compared to the light blue, so she picked Carbon Black on her 4GC instead of the EBII. I let her made the decision simply because its her car and her money.

For the SMB, IMO it is a great color on the F8X (I also like it on the new M4CS), but it is a little to "purple" compared to LMB. Good luck on your individual order on LMB.

So strange to me that ordering can be out, but no pricing or ordering guides are open.

In any case I secured with a deposit the first allocation from my dealership. They likely dont have one of the 24, but shits about to get reall... too excited!

I'll bet she really appreciated that you "let her make the decision".

Dealer ordering system opened yesterday but no prices yet. So far, same package compositions as the 2018 M4 with no new colors and no digital display showing in the system.
What dealer did you order from?

Encanto, with no ordering/pricing guides released, how do you know that, 'so far, same package compositions as the 2018 M4 with no new colors and no digital display showing in the system?'

Dealer is asking me for my build too now, and I'm not clear how to give them this without an ordering guide?
