Guys

Please be on track for this thread which is about CP, and not M3 vs M4

I guess you can't really go wrong with either.
I got an M3, but I thought this quote from the M3/M4 Product Manager was rather funny.

Quote:
Q: If you were to order one yourself, whether a BMW M3 Sedan or a BMW M4 Coupé? How would you want it to look?

Christoph Smieskol: That is a very difficult question. To begin with, I was a great fan of the BMW M4 Coupé. But now, the more I see the BMW M3 Sedan, the more I like its quite particular character. The four doors in conjunction with the large wheel arches are rather impudent.

Something was probably lost in translation there

EDIT: Also, ZCP all day long. Well worth the money IMO.

Love the CP. Definitely worth it over the regular M4. Not a big fan of the wheels but minor in grand scheme of things

+1 I love the competition package and can't imagine owning my car w/o it. Also not a fan of the 666 style wheels; sometimes I like them, other times I don't

Oh dear, is this thread still going on?

Keeping the car stock? Go competition package. Modding the hell out of the car? Don't get competition package.

That's just my .02¢ of course. I bought the ZCP and kept pretty much nothing except the seat belts and seats. Had I known I'd be this much of a mod addict, I wouldn't have ticked the option.

I would have ticked the box if they included a racing helmet in the package. That way I could have looked and felt like a real race car competitor.

I recall hating the 666 wheels when the spy shots of the vehicle were taken back in 2015 (or early 2016). I am now a huge fan of them especially the new black option. I actually like them better than the 19" wheels.

Since I owned the Civic and the ZCP LCI now

I really suggest for people that are telling that the ZCP is garbage the following:

1- Standard lights looks much better than the LCI front and back
2- The 19 inch wheels from the 440 looks way more aggressive and exclusive than the 666
3- The extra power is nothing and you wont feel it and if you do its a waste since the car handles like crap
4- the seats looks like standard seats - a big hole (cost saving)
5- the black parts on logo emblem, grill looks cheap and chrome is the way to go
6- the ZCP sports exhaust sounds worse the standard and who wants burbles and crackles on a M4? common we could do better with a DP with some tuning in the garage of Mr. Assman.
7- the Idrive 6 is a waste and we barely used it since our car is a driver's car and we only sit and drives the car.
8- Apple Carplay is also a stupid feature since we never connect our phones with the car
9- the new steering, damping software and hardware upgrades are a no no! the civic feels more planted and the feedback we get from the amazing damping systems dn the SW is perfect
10- the CP seat-belt looks cheap, better stick to regular seat belts from the 1 series it is more premium

From the front and rear, I find the M4 to look wider than the M3 due to the lower roofline and wider lower body. The M3 looks wider from the 3/4 front/rear view due to more aggressively protruding fenders.

I decided against upgrading to comp package, essentially it's the same car with some minor improvement felt more in the track than regular driving and my current M has just 15k miles and may not make sense financially

What do u all think?

Why u say to get it, I don't track and understand from all the research done that additional power and handling is visible for track only, any other reason I am missing? It's been really a tough decision for past 1 week and finding it very difficult to trade my 16M3 with only 15k miles

I had the 2017 M4 non ZCP and now have the 2018 M4 ZCP. It's a different car. Period. Feels more agile, handles better, you get the Michel PSS 100% no more Continentals on the Style 666M wheels (at least for now), you get all the blacked out parts so you don't need to pay to upgrade, and best of all.........forget all that I mentioned above......the exhaust burbles are car Pr0N! it never gets boring! it's so addicting it makes the car sound like a real sports car. anyone who says its not worth it is just lying to himself because he missed it or can't upgrade his current non ZCP as they will lose a lot in the process. There you have it.

I don't think the comp package is enough of an improvement to make me want to prematurely replace my car but when I do replace it next year I will probably go for it,
