I’ll keep you updated if anyone else wants a spot. See you at the next one

Picked up some rubber for the occasion. Poor things - they’ll be in tire heaven soon

Not sure how you all ran the layout last event.
Curious if I should spin up some sort of drift line/course layout for the cones?

I have many hours in Assetto Corsa. Figured we could use the standard built in drift course as inspiration? (Motorland SP)
Have tons of experience sim drifting this track and thought we could make a mini version? Try and retain any muscle memory

Let me know how many cones we have to work with and i can find a good layout. (if needed)

Here is a rough version 1. Used up all 50 cones.
There are a few scaled cars for reference to sizing in pics.

Tried to keep all three separated as much as possible. Lots of safe spaces.
Gave the drag strip more room. They launch away from the drift area now.
The fun zone is now after the drag strip so you can have... more fun.. after a dig. We can tweak the cone placement the day of. This should be good enough for a blue print.

If we end up not using one of the areas. We can easily expand one of the spots later in the day. Totally open to tweak or make edits to this. Never done this before.

I'm a crazy person and spent the last hour doing assetto corsa laps on the layout I purposed. This video is pretty much 1:1 with what my layout was.

Playing with a stock e46 that has no angle or drift mods to help. Should be just about as challenging. Really want to recreate this video in IRL. Hoping I can spin my skills up fast enough.

I know a few of you going have sim rigs. Start practicing! Lol
