Single Turbo and Smog

I want to install a single turbo on my m3 but how do you guys deal with smog checks?

There's really only 2 options. Hot smog or revert the car back to stock every smog check

If you have a lot of money into it hot smog is the way to go, runs you about 500$

I'd love a single snail, but majority of law enforcement will/can pull you over, request to open hood and you'll get an automatic referee visit. You'll have to revert to stock, I say stay twin, if you move out of CA then yes.
