Exclamation BPM Sport Review

I know there are a few of these on here already so I will keep this short.

Firstly, Mike's customer service is second to none. Open communication and always wanting to ensure you are happy with his product.

The tune itself, awesome! Linear power with some nice personal touches - custom burbles, start up roar .5 sec, 1 sec., and the Sport+ rev match, which I do not believe anyone else has done yet.

All in all, I am very happy and look forward to some of the other cool stuff Mike and his team have coming down the pipe.

Thanks again Mike

Linear. Yes. Bpm does have an amazing tune. I've had it for 5 weeks now and it is really consistent and smooth. Power delivery is nice and not jittery. The car plants itself as you hammer the throttle. Very nice. The sport+ rev match is the best. Sounds great and feels great. As I've said before..I highly recommend this tune.

Unless it falls in line with the market I would opt for bm3 or mhd.

Well you have to admit that once you add in the TCU flash. The other offerings that are including that are a significantly better value. Last I checked the TCU flash was another $799 on top of the $1195. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Why would I want to be a beta tester? Look at all the flashing issues described in other threads.

BPM is tried, tested and simple. Prompt customer service and exponential feature additions.

It's a no brainer isn't it ?

What's a few hundred dollars when you are paying 60K for a car ?

I see your point but are the tuning options really that different.
I'm looking for a safe and reliable tune.
Sure bm3 needs to work out some kinks.
I'm in no rush car is stored for the winter.

My understanding with bpm is ask them what they want and they'll pretty much accommodate as long as it's safe.

I get the impression that some of the other solutions aren't ready and really should not be sold as a finished product until they are.

Anyhow each their own I suppose

I believe Alex@Alpine and other coders (not necessarily tuners) do it for much cheaper. I think I saw $150 or something like that. BM3 includes it for free and BPM does it as a separate service but are looking into adding the capability via the same cable you tune with.

BPM also offers stuff the others do not such as rev match on/off in any mode and flash counter rollback and freezing.

The service has been top notch and they are making announcements that other stuff for their customers is on the way.

There are still some things that set the tuners apart.

BM3 has a cool slider for burbles and they also offer full control over the valves. No one else currently does that.

BPM offers things like rev matching on/off in any mode for those with manuals who are interested. They also offer the flash counter rollback and freeze capability. Other tuners either offer a method of flashing past the flash limit or don't offer anything at all in regards to the flash counter and it's limit.

But all things else, they are pretty similar.

How is this guy being a troll?

You are just further feeding in to the negative rap that so many bm3 "attack dogs" have been called out on lately. Always so confrontational.

Appreciate your supportive comments.

I'm no troll. Fact of the matter is BPM and Alex at alpine have been ready from the get go with obd and others have been caught with their pants down scrambling. It's fact. Sour grapes from the usual attack dogs.

Why beta test for a company when there are effective solutions with excellent support already out there adding features weekly and offer error free flashing close to 100% of the time?

It's a legitimate question isn't it ? Attack dogs want to beta test the flashing process be my guest. There is a sucker born every minute.

Like most bullies one needs to stand up to them. That guy is no different. The keyboard gives these guys extra bravado that would wither away in a personal encounter.

Stating fact in a dedicated thread is not trolling. It's stating the obvious.

BPM Sport

I know this is a M3 forum but I would like to take the opportunity to express my appreciation to Mike with BPM Sort who did a stellar work in the retrofitting of the tail lights of my X1 to European specs.
I was lucky to find Mike with BPM Sport https://www.bpmsport.com/. Mike is most likely the best BMW programming/coding professional in the USA and without exaggeration one the few best of the best in the world. Excellent customer service, a genial super expert knowledge of programming. He really is a magician in what he creates which is a pure combination between science and art craft. I finally have European tail lights functioning properly on my X1, probably the first one ine USA.

Can you flash the tune back to stock before a CA smog check? Will all the parameters be the same when its flashed back to stock as the OEM tune?
