How did you get to the dealership on delivery day?

Same here. I drove my trade in, my 2010 335i M Sport, 20 miles to Niello BMW in Elk Grove on a Saturday morning (Nov. 22, 2014) to look at my then new 2015 M4 expecting to take delivery the following Monday. As it turned out they got my M4 ready by the afternoon and I was on my way home on Hwy. 99 by 4:30 that Saturday.

It's going to be a long time before I buy another new car.

I have never thought twice about it-

Every car I have ever bought of any brand the sales dude or dudette gofers me however needed... I thought that was assumed.(?)
I made an agreement over the phone for a GMC Yukon once and ended it with- "well come get me"- 150 miles away. They sent the retired guy- all dealers have who drive cars to/from auction- out the next morning at 6am to come get me.

Its called customer service, right?

Drove my trade. That's normal for me, but this time the dealer was 400 miles away. Fun way to say goodbye to the old girl (335i) and hello to the new girl. I slept well that night.

It's probably the same thing as when you picked it up after they delivered it here stateside.

My pick up trip was a disaster... I originally made a plan to drop my car to the guy assuming my 435 since he was 5 minutes away from the dealer that I got my m3 from, but as I was driving the dealership called and said they actually were delivered the wrong car and I would have to wait another day to pick up my m3... so i ended up taking an uber to the dealership.

I flew from London to San Diego on BA273, and had the wife pick me up in her M235 then went straight to the dealer to pick my baby up.

With my first BMW the CA that sold me the car came to pick me up from my house. The second time I took a taxi from my hotel to the Welt and then took the shuttle from my hotel in Greenville to the performance center.

Wife hitched a ride from the brother in law, and she took delivery of my car while I was in Korea. This time, I'll just drive my car, or have my wife bring me.
