I echo some of the previous comments where not everyone wants an extremely loud exhaust.
Seems like it could attract unnecessary attention (aka Police). Its easier for BMW to sell the stock exhaust to more people than the MPE version. I recently test drove an M4 and found the engine/exhaust note to be plenty. Maybe I'm just getting old. |

So in other words you can hear the farting car sounds louder?
I do admit it sounds *interesting* in person. Video it sounds like fake shit coming from an obese man in the next stall. |

Sure - and sometimes there is more fun in spinning. The AWD option is probably needed to keep up with competition on the track. But I for one, will not buy AWD for a daily driver in mild weather CA.

It's nice to have that AWD for winter weekend ski trips to Mammoth, Big Bear, or Lake Tahoe....

If your racing from green light to green light.. then you need to grow up! Take that shit to the track and see what the benz or Audi can do. You talk about numbing experience of the new M cars where 10 years ago it was more solid... ummm that was rear wheel drive 10 years ago as it is today, you contradict your self by making this comment about AWD and also how BMW is loosing their tradition figure out where you want to stand and stick to it. Add AWD to BMW and all the sudden everyeone will bitch (not me) and moan, cant please everyone.

MPE
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, and would just like to have some questions answered regarding the M performance exhaust. In the first video,is this a full system with DECAT?or only a catback? I have seen there is a silencer system available for the M4 that goes up to the cats, but I'm hoping there is a full system from BMW like the Akrapovic. So basically I just want to know if this first video is with a full Decat system, and if it will be available? Thanks in advance. |
