I do toss the fronts a little before the rears due to the rears wearing. The R6 is very specific to this but sliding the car isn't rewarding on this tire so I am probably saving more rear tire than some. It is quite rewarding lap time wise with the stock PSS though, 4-6 degrees of slip angle is not unreasonable with those. If I do ever get around to buying wheels and had my ideal tire it would be a 255 in front and a 305-315 in the rear to balance not only tire wear but turn in and corner exit (which is helped greatly already with the right alignment)

btw, I run 36f 38r psi hot for the best lap time. I personally like this tire really high though, I love 44/48 on the GT3.
Thanks for sharing those sway bars are tempting not sure I will see enough track time to learn how to adjust them properly.

Tongue in cheek. The comment was coming from a guy that runs 19s and just switched to 265/35/19 from 265/30/19 to help with that wheel gap you mention.

I even polish up my E36 M3 track car before events. I may not always be the fastest on the track, but I'm sure as heck gonna look good while out there.

If I were you, I'd run 275/35/18 all around. That, I know will fit and you can rotate your tires. If it was ET33, you could do 295/35/18 rear and 265/35/18 front.
ET25 is not gonna clear 295 rear?

ET25 is fine with 295 rear. Wheel is flush, tire has slight bulge, but not too bad.

EC-7 19 x 10" ET25 in my picture pages here, post #31:

here is my setup on an f80 with adaptive suspension: square 275/35/18 Nitto NT01 on an also square 18x10et33 Apex EC-7; 10mm Macht Schnell spacers in front, none in rear.

^^ not touching, about a centimeter or so clearance... it's close but shouldn't be a problem i don't think

^^ my best attempt at showing the clearance on the inside of the REAR

^^ my best attempt to show the clearance on the inside of the FRONT getting a little close.

Wow. Looks amazing. I'm glad you went with ET33 instead of ET25. Any chance you can take a photo of the front suspension clearance?

Also, are you thinking about camber plates or coilovers? Don't destroy those nice tires with stock cambers.

that last photo is the best i can show the front suspension clearance using a shop light and my iphone ... at the closest point it looks like the little rubber stems almost would brush against the strut. (whatever the leftover spicules are from the manufacturing process)

i think the +25 would've been a little aggressive (for me), and this is pretty much exactly what i was going for. i'm very happy with it.

camber plates are in the future but i may wait on them. i only have a few track weekends planned for the year and the tracks i'm planning are all recently resurfaced or built so that should help.

I see it now, sorry. Wow, that is very tight. No wonder those with K&W CS had issues clearing the front wider tires.

That pic of the front strut clearance is a bit misleading. Don't be fooled by the narrow visual clearance of the tire in the front of the pic (closer to the camera lens) and the strut. Which makes the illusion of the whiskers touching the strut. When the tire is at the strut (top of pic) it actually is further away, as the strut is at an angle to the plane of the wheel rotation. The tightest point is at the rim itself unless you have some very meaty tires or a tire with a rim protector lip, like the stock tires.

yes! the whiskers at the top of the photo are the ones to look at and it's still a tough angle to get exacting info (tough photo to orchestrate too, back was even harder).

I'm not sure what minimum clearance is, but two whisker lengths still seems relatively close to me but I'm not sure how close is too close.

I am running a setup very similar to yours. Only difference is I have ET25 instead of ET33, so I don't use a spacer upfront and my rear wheels are pushed out more by 8mm.

I am very happy with the setup thus far. The wider rear track seems to bring good stability to the back end, at least on the slow speed track I was last weekend. I'll be heading to a higher speed track in early May. Can't wait to try out this setup .

I am guessing you are asking pressure not temp...

Started them at 30psi cold and kept them at 39psi hot.

Thanks for posting! The 275/35/18 looks like 2" wheel gap in the front. Is that right or just the pick?
