Newbie and first M car

Hi everyone,

Just one more day until I collect my M4 and it will be my first M car (having previously owned a carbon black F11 M Sport family bus). With the new tax rules coming into play I was not interested in a factory order LCI and decided to look for pre-reg as a more cost effective option. I'm pretty pleased with the deal too, 17% off list, and managed to get a car with only 200 miles on the clock, all my must have options plus a few extra options Just can't wait to get the car now!

After a test drive I was simply blown away, I have motorbikes all my life and this was near motorbike performance on 4 wheels, awesome! Totally fell in love with the performance and HUD too. Just cannot decide if I should buy the service pack as I'm probably only going to be doing 5000 miles a year

I have had a one wobble since paying the deposit... namely about the colour, I've never been so bold with colour choice, and part of me is concerned it will draw some unwanted attention. I guess only time will tell. Personally I really like the colour. Anyone else have any such feelings when buying a car?

Got the usual mods in mind for the coming weeks, carbon boot spoiler, black kidney grill surrounds and black side gills. I'm also keen to get the rear diffuser wrapped in glass black too as I'm not a fan of the colour coded diffuser that is standard.

Yas is stunning - for me it's Yas, Silverstone or White.

Yas Marina Blue is a great colour. I've got a new M4 in Austin Yellow due at the dealer any day now, and Yas Marina was a very, very close second choice, but I've had a few wobbles that I should have chosen it.

Sounds great, colour is very nice I've seen one other YMB around here and it looks great in the flesh. For the diffuser you could also just change it for a carbon one to match the spoiler, I got this one from Sterckenn:

A couple of pics now she's home, I really don't know why I was worrying about the colour, it looks the dogs in direct sunlight, I got nothing but compliments when I parked up at bootcamp this morning.
