Replacing tail light bulbs with LEDs

i just changed some of the bulbs out to LED's so at least they would have the "sharp" appearance when turning off and on....not a true fix but it satisfied my OCD for now.

here is where i bought some of mine..Since you have the F80 the item #WTS302RRY will work for your turn signals and rear brake lights. Us M4 people are not so lucky because the reverse & brake light bulbs are weird ones and not easily available.

The reverse light bulbs for your car is a 7506 which you can buy cheaper on Ebay or Amazon instead of spending a fortune on the ones above.

Do the lights flicker on start up? I thought I saw somewhere that the LED replacement bulbs flicker. I wanted to switch to LED reverse bulbs in the hopes that the brighter bulb would help with poor nighttime reverse cameras.

You need to post a video of those puppies in action!

they will flicker without coding. i dont have the reverse lights in yet. i still cant find ones that i like..F82 has a very odd bulb that is hard to find.

So you were able to change the brake light bulb and the rear tail lamp indicator bulb to LED? Do you pictures or video?

i ordered the brake light bulbs but it hasnt came in yet. The tail lamp is already LED so nothing to change there. Once i get them installed i will post a pic or video.

dont get your hopes up too much lol.. I think they will look more crisp but wont be extremely bright like the LCI ones will be...like i said before its just curing my OCD for now...eventually i will want to switch out the entire light to the LCI ones once they are out and there are some used ones to be found.

Small update on my LED's....So far the rear turn signals are the only ones that look good. I installed LED bulbs in the brake lights and they were significantly more dim than the standard halogen bulbs so they were a no go. Still waiting on reverse lights to come in.....not sure what route im going to take for the brake lights.

here is the rear turn signals...they look a kind of amber in the video but they are not in person. They are the same brightness as the original bulbs so no real improvement there.
I will post one of the reverse lights once i get them installed.

I dont have one of the brake lights as i was in a hurry and already took them back out.

no hyper flash...I've never had that on any Fxx car.. You do have to code out the error check otherwise they will flicker every so many minutes.

Hope to have the reverse lights this week.. they are coming from China.
