You have to buy a $4,100 package just to get the LED lights now? That sucks.

And with the price bump, it's looking like a civic M3 for me. Call it weight savings I guess?

LED lights are standard on the MY18.

The $4,100 package which includes the Icon Adaptive LEDs gets you those new hexagonal LED lights (as opposed to the traditional round halos).

Nice! How does it work? Any dealer will sell you the car at invoice price?

No definitely not any dealer. However with their costs in your hands you can negotiate up from there on a purchase price and then get them to agree to X over invoice minus any incentives you qualify for.

I would imagine sometime at the beginning of August which is in line when the first 2018 orders will hit lots in the US

Yeah it is a head scratcher. Although I will say that from my conversations with someone at BMW NA that I have been working with, their computer systems have been having issues from the ordering software to the tracking software. Not saying this effects the configurator (in fact i highly doubt it) but it may be drawing away the IT guys attention trying to get that resolved.

I will verify this and report back. Have a test drive scheduled in 2 hours, and I may walk out with a build/order #.

Reporting back in.

Per my SA yesterday, I can confirm that LED lights in the new hexagon shape are standard on the 2018 F80, as well as the rear view camera. I took the first allocation available which is September production, with delivery mid October. Can't wait!

I think its meant to indicate that they are 3 season tires. It would say all weather if it was so.

Seriously?

I'd be surprised... These car buying service programs have gone down the shitter lately. Namely USAA.

EDIT: Suspicion confirmed. At the end I was hit with a much higher "target price".

Great for finding out what invoice is, but I already use NADA to do that.

Mixed performance means staggered sizes I believe.

Yes, this is what mixed performance tires means. They will most likely be Michelin Pilot Super Sports or the equivalent Continental summer tire.

Really hoping for Michelin PSS. Is there any math by which they choose to give you one over the other?

Michelin has a contract with BMW that they will supply the tires for first year M cars. I got this directly from a Michelin employee that I know in Greer, SC. (He's the guy that set up the PS4S comparison tests for the media at Thermal earlier this year or last year.) For the F8x M3/M4 and the F87 M2, this was Michelin Pilot Super Sports. After that, they were split between Michelin and Continental (although I'm not sure about the 2017 M2.) There were a lot of posts about this in late 2015 and early 2016, to the point that in attempt to compile some accurate data, I posted a poll here that asked people whether they got an M3 or an M4 (different factories) and whether they got Michelin or Continental. Before taking Euro Delivery of my car in May 2016, the poll was running about 50/50 for both models.

When I did Euro Delivery, the group consisted of 10 M2s all of which had Michelin PSS (first year), two M3s, one of which got Michelin and one got Continental, and two M4s, one of which was a CP (first year) with Michelins, and mine, which came with Continentals.

Long story short, your chances are probably about 50/50.
