Had the Belkin cup holder mount but that was a POS and broke on me twice. I went with a CD mount this go around, and I have never 2nd guessed the change- its also nice to have use of both cup holders as well.
I went with this one from amazon bc it blends with the interior trim well.: https://www.amazon.com/Holder-BAIVON...holder+for+car |

Alright, I think I finally have my perfect solution!
I have used many types of phone holders/mounts over the years with varying degrees of success. The Belkin cup holder was a total waste of money and broke within 3 months. While I like my Kenu Airframe+ (great for travel), I did not like using it in the M3. I always felt the phone was too far from my reach to briefly interact with. In my previous cars I've found that ProClip made a great separate mounting surface but their cradles are phone specific and wasted $. Finally I married a ProClip mount (with added scratch protection for the CF trim) and a Scosche swivel mount.

I keep my bulky gs7 edge on top of the cup holders or on the passenger seat but plugged in to the corded charger since the battery life isn't so great so even though it slides all over when on the seat, it still stays somewhere on the seat heh.
