Dash cam power from Valentine One hardwire.
Guys, I just bought a dash cam(Ventrue N2 Pro) and I've been trying to figure out how to hardwire this dash cam around my V1 detector on my M4 Convertible.
I am encountering a couple of issues like , trims(around the windshield and A pillar) seem a lot tighter on my M4 convertible than those on coupes, and very difficult to access the battery in the trunk.. etc. etc.. Anyways, I have a functional V1 hardwire right under the Connected Drive front camera. Is there any way to feed power to the Dash Cam(mini USB) from the existing V1 hard wire kit(RJ11)??? Has anyone tried it? Or is it just impossible or not recommended by any reason? Thanks guys

Jchoidmd,
I'm also interested in your questions, and hope there's a reply soon. I hardwired a dash cam and there were no more viable taps available. So I'd need to tap into the dash cam wire, or run a wire from the left front fuse box. I have an electrical engineer friend, will ask and get back. If you serviced your M4 at BMW, did they have a problem with the hard wire? E.g. risk that it could void your warranty? Thanks, Robert
