M4
6MT MSRP $64,200 B67 Austin Yellow Metallic $550 ZEC Executive Package $4000 CSAT $0 2VZ 19s" $1200 Destination $925 Registration $562.00 CA Sales tax $6,379.00 Total $77816 I love the standard equipment that comes with the car. Like all of us, I'm not happy about the Executive package. All I want is HUD and CA. I'd like to have full leather but I want to keep it under $80K and overall I prefer the HUD and CA to lots of leather. I'm going to try the Speed Cloth. Now, I need to get rid of my F30 or be very patient and wait til August 2015. |

The "nickel and dime" has begun:
- Nav is standard but $500 for 6NS. In the F30, 6NS is part of the Nav. - Executive Package mixes Premium, Driver and Cold Packages in one, like it or not, making this package more expensive than picking and choosing which one fits the budget and the purpose. - The "Full" Leather gives leather-covered top of the dash and the top of the doors in exchange of removing the leather on the center console sides and top (compared with the old "Extended" leather in the E9X M3) for an additional $1600. The $3600 option now is as expensive as the old Individual interior in the E9X M3, so the expectation is that Individual would be much more expensive than that now. - No Jet Black, so the only dark color is optional at $550. Anything else would be Individual. Again - All these price increases and no Competition Package at a premium yet. The $100,000 M3/M4 with hard plastics is near. |

You're thinking of standard cruise control. Active cruise control is where the car basically drives itself. This may never come to the M3/M4, as it requires a fair bit of equipment installed in the front door, which the M3/M4 design may not accomodate. |

I know for a fact my local mn dealership never negotiated on ED - 6% discount was it. How much more below do people get? Another 1-2%
My guess is I'll have to go out of state or at least have a quote from someone else. |

Yeah it was suspected as n/c on the order sheets, but I'm still surprised BMW didn't charge for it like they did with the E90/92 having the std. silver grey trim and charging $500 for an upgraded trim.

MDrive was definitely made standard at some point, Technic. I believe it was in 2011.
Now, what is new is that you get iDrive standard and thus more flexible MDrive configurability out of the box. This includes Servotronic settings which was not available in the non-iDrive MDrive that was standard on the E9x M3, and that meant that such cars did not have the Servotronic Sport program. Also, fold down rear seats have always been standard in the coupe. Another new feature is Dynamic Cruise Control. The old E9x has the standard cruise control with no braking function and no speed-resume on shift completion. The CF roof is new standard equipment for the sedan. Quote:

The base, plastic E9x M3 trim was called Titanium Shadow by the way, and the base, plastic F8x trim (that we don't get in the US) is called Blue Shadow. See the trend? The thing is, while Titanium shadow looks hopelessly like tacky fake metal, the Blue Shadow - based on the UK visualizer, anyway - actually looks pretty good. I'd choose it over CF if given the choice. Although I would very likely install the M Performance matte CF trim in the end anyway, assuming I can figure out what to do with the gaudy Alcantara dash piece with the logo on it. |

Jalopnik has their 320i... Consider this the glennQNYC M4:
M4 Coupe $64,200 DCT $2900 Carbon brakes $8150 Black 19" rims $1200 HK audio $875 USB/BT $500 Dest $925 total: $78,750 Dump the carbon brake kit and the car is still $70,600. I think I'd prefer a Cayman or Corvette, but it's fun to consider the options!

As far as loyalty I believe it's up to each dealer.. I'm getting that plus the USAA military discount which could be up to 2K.. I would ask your CA but I don't see why you wouldn't..

My dealer said there wasn't any loyalty incentives when I put down my deposit. He said this may change prior to signing.

Like I mentioned it may just depend on the dealer.. I have a close relationship and buy a lot of cars from mine.. I was assured of mine by my CA and the GM..

The nice thing about interior trim is that it is relatively easy to change. Now, I don't know how much Piano Black trim will cost you at retail. I imagine it isn't cheap. I'd guess $1200 or so, but that's just a SWAG. I don't know if the US will ever get the Individual options we've seen available elsewhere for this car. I'd give it 50/50. In the past I would have said "No way!", but they seem to be offering these on more and more US models over the past few years. On the downside, it could be argued that the polarizing paint choices and full leather option aesthetics were designed to push you toward Individual. Over time, they could be grooming the buying audience to simply accept the high costs of an Individual-ized car as a matter of standard practice. For my part I will fight being assimilated. |

Other F80 M3 standard equipment that was not present in the 2008 M3 is - BMW Assist (now for 10 years vs. 4 years option in 2008). |
