Fall Getaway in Vermont

Folks,

Need your help. I am planning to head towards Vermont over the weekend to see the fall colors. Any must drives etc. will be appreciated.

Thanks.

HAHAHA
Join the club. I just logged in to post this same thing ;P

So I am curious what leaf viewing drives people have done and recommend?
I am coming from Boston, so Route 100 (which is said to be the best??) is so far far away, that I'm not sure it will be possible.

Just be aware that I just checked the weather and southern VT is calling for morning rain on Sunday.

Ok, well anyone have suggestions?

LOL! Yeah, this was a very stellar response. I should have put some spiciness in the post. I will cross-post it in my regional forum. I have better luck there

Backroads between stratton and mount snow: mountain rd to stratton arlington rd, hook up to 100 and head back through wardsboro toward rte 30. 30 toward jamaica then take 100 out toward londonderry. Stay on 100 out to weston or take 11 toward manchester.

I'll be doing a loop around this area later this afternoon once the rain stops.

Thank you! Yes, it was indeed wonderful. I couldn't do all the roads as we were getting late. But, we covered a good amount and took the Skyline Drive in Manchester. Those hairpins!

We ended up doing Rt 100 in VT, from roughly Hogback mountain (?) all the way up to Killington. Unfortunately, due to the overly conservative safety culture of the US, there were very few passing zones and we ended up getting stuck behind some very slow people.. Was a pretty good drive in the end tho.
