Holy macaroni on that power. That is some really insane under-rating.

I'm truly surprised by the dyno results and quite pleased with the weight. I always wanted my F80 to rock in at in 3500 pounds and now I'm confident it will, even with a full tank of gas, given it's a stripper model

So true. IIRC, these are lighter than the e92 ZCP wheels.

Wow, incredible power. This engine is HUGELY underrated compared to the S65 based on the E92 dynos performed by EAS.

The car and color look amazing. I wished I stuck to my guns and picked YMB. But wifey shot me down and I settled with MG. The spacers really improved the stance. An inch drop up front would make it perfect. Great photos! It really showcases that German engineering.

I'm not a dyno expert. Can someone that is weigh in on this test? These results seem like Christmas coming for several consecutive days.

412 avg SAE over 3 runs

-20-25 because we all know the EAS dyno reads high

390 + 12% for DT loss = 436.8

Holding out for the more realistic Edmunds dyno.

Thanks for posting pics. Very nice.

Is there a single drain on the oil pan?

So are we ignoring the other dynos that were almost the same result? Two of them I believe.

I think it is only on spacers (20mm).

IIRC, the E9X ZCP wheels were relatively heavy because they were cast.

Seems to me BMW ///M under-delivered on the weight but over-delivered on the power .

Except STD is more common and is what is typically used. Assume 10-15 high and we are at 410-415 whp which backs up the 118 traps.

Either way, still making significantly more than rated and we made out

seems like a manual m4 would dip into 34xx lbs then, no?

I'm a little confused by your math

An e9x makes 350-360 whp on this same dyno. If you subtract 15-20 hp from that, you are at 340 whp.

340 + 12% for dt loss is 380.8.

So, either your drivetrain loss numbers are way off or you are saying the e9x is massively overrated since it's claimed 414 hp.

Either way, I think your numbers and calculations are off.

The most relevent numbers are that this car makes approximately 50-60 whp more than the highest reading e9x m3s on this same dyno.
