Exhaust bark on the up-shifts

Has anyone noticed that during aggressive driving, you can hear exhaust barking. I can explain why the pop can happen on the downshift, but on the upshift... Can it be that if done fast with manual transmission, while the clutch is still partially engaged, I give it too much gas, therefore suddenly increasing the RPMs?

Yea it barks and farts during full throttle shift.
It's not exactly good sounding bark either.
I didn't notice much of these during break in period for obvious reason.
But now that I am running the car little bit harder, I am noticing more "bad" sound coming from it.
The more I hear stock exhaust, the more I get disappointed with it.

Most disappointing part of this exhaust is flapper that rattles like cheap honda exhaust.

I am glad that my new aftermaket is coming in few weeks.
Can't wait to get rid of this exhaust.

I actually like the way it barks. It is a first car for me that does it.

With my Audi, I was told that the noise was due to the fact that they retard the timing during upshifts to help pull the revs down quicker. This helps with faster shifts.

I thunk you can get a new exhaust from the dealer. Backordered probably.

Ignition timing mapping is the key here

The bark on the new Cayman/Boxster S is a lot more pronounced - even to the point of being a little humorous. The F8X bark is subtle and kinda nice.

I LOVE the barks, pops, and burbles during upshifts and aggressive driving. I don't think changing to aftermarket exhaust will eliminate these, probably make them more noticeable actually.

I could do without the flapper rattle though and that should go away when replacing exhaust.

Is barking 6MT specific, or is it as pronounced with DCT?

Still in break-in, which means I'm doing WOT to a small degree so rings seat nicely but keeping away from redline and full on WOT to keep temps and friction down while the filthy oil is in there.

Loving the barks and can't wait to experience them more. They are most apparent when WOT shifting in sport plus mode.
