Yes, BMW perfected a technology that automatically links to the bluetooth modules in nearby cars and pipes your Active Sound engine noises directly through their speakers.

This car is all over the place in Socal. I saw the F80, two F82s, and an F15 X5M (and a production X1) driving all around Imperial Highway and Vista del Mar a few minutes ago.

Actually, it's only for the E9x Bluetooth, so you won't be startled when it blows by you.
