Use the VIN checking tool to see what sequence you're in. Then work backwards from the last three digits until you finally get a car that has a production date instead of a 0001-01-01 as a production date. This will give you a rough idea of when yours will be completed.

Mine should be completed tomorrow. About 1 week ahead of schedule.

Cool. Don't have my VIN yet but i'll do it once I get the number. I think the whole tracking system only makes the process even more difficult!

It truly does. Just checked and mine has finished production. Now until it gets loaded on a boat, there's no way to track progress.

I'm in the GTA as well and looking for a winter package soon. Should be picking up my M4 next week. I'm still debating between the group buy out of the US or shopping locally.

Luckily I'm close to the border so at the very least I can take advantage of free shipping and just pay for duty. But still have to consider the exchange rate since our dollar is pretty weak at the moment.

I think the group buy is $1,900 US. But if a comparable package is available locally in CDN $ then I may just take that route.

My M4 goes into production next week(December delivery). I went with the comp package so I will need winter wheels and tires. My dealer offered me the 640 package for around $3k. I would prefer to go the replica route, so I will be following this thread to see what you guys decide to do.

If you go with the Apex wheel, they aren't cheap...although the quality is supposed to be top notch.

I went with the 19" OEM replica's and Michelin Alpin PA4's 255-35-19 square set-up. I paid $2600 for the entire package which included mounting, balancing and shipping etc. If you are local (GTA), you will save $100 from what I paid for this package as I had to have them shipped. If you connect with member FrozenCommunist, you will save an additional $150, so that's $250 off right there.

If you look a few pages back in this thread you will see pics of what I received. If you are interested, send FC a PM and get together and reach out to Victor at Rennsport Tire for a deal.

Thx. I'm definitely going with a set of 18" wheels. I like the Apex wheels a little better because they are slightly wider than other winter wheels I've found. I just wanna make sure they don't look too skinny on the car. Perhaps a set of spacers will help fill some of the gap.

Boys,

Just to follow up and let you guys know that I decided to order from Mags a Rebais here in Laval and going with 18" setup using 731 GMF wheels with Nokia Hakka's at $1900 plus tax. The 19" setup was $600 more and for me, the tire is way more important than the look for me and it's definitely within my budget.

Just wanted to keep you guys posted.

Victor at Rennsport gave me a quote of $1988 (taxes included) for 18x8.5 Replika wheels on 255/40/18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 tires. With the two person buying discount of $150, it goes down to $1838.

It's about $1000 cheaper than going the Apex group buy route.

Nice!

I had the Apex priced out albeit 19 inch, and as nice as they look I just couldn't justify $3k for winter wheels and tires.

Adds more to this agonizing wait by having the wheels and tires ready and still no car. It's for sure going to snow the day I pick it up from the dealer. I can feel it....

That's a very good deal I think.

Just ordered Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 and BBS SR 18" wheels for 2700 CDN

The BBS wheels are expensive...

I tried calling Victor at Rennsport Tire (416-727-3772). Got a Rogers wireless message saying the mailbox is full.

Poor guy is swamped. Same thing happened when I first reached out. Best thing to do is email him: info@rennsportire.ca

He seems to respond quicker that way.

Just a side note, thanks to all for their input on this thread. It made my decision much easier to make.

If anyone wants more info about the set I went with, feel free to ask.
