Trade my 16 M4 to 17 M4?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi guys,

I have the M4 in MW since last August it is brand new 2016 MW - SO and I really like the color and the car.

The Dealer offered me a very good price to trade the car with a brand new 2017 model - 2 cars in mind SO - Black or AY - Black.

The price for 2017 was given almost 5% cheaper on what I paid in 2016.

With this Money should I trade the car for a brand new one with more attractive color or use this money and get the P exhaust, diffuser, splitter and lip?

Thanks

Keep the 16 there is virtually no difference. If you want to upgrade wait for the 18 LCI (or 17 LCI if foreign I think). Even then IMO not worth it cause the new headlights are worse and a tail light retrofit is cheap.

If you're going to trade, wait for the '18 models. Although then you may not get the deal offered to you now.

Sounds like a personal decision. I don't think anyone can help you to trade in your not 1 year old car for a new one with a different color.

If it's going to lower your monthly payments, and you don't have to flick out any cash, sure go for it. I don't know what additional value you're going to get out of a different color car.

Trade one M4 for another M4 AND pay cash? That isn't the right way to do it. Research into what these guys do: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barter_Kings
Start with something of a much lesser value and get to M4 through multiple trades without paying a dime. That's how it's done

One more vote for ZCP or no deal. If you want a new color, why not wrap it?

It's only February and we are just days away from the start of '18-LCI production. Of course dealers are going to offer deals to get rid of '17 standing inventory. They will soon offer deals on the '18-LCI. It's what dealers do.

It is not because of the color only.

1- 5% cheaper
2- 15% gained from 1st year depreciation
