I say, in some markets, they will struggle to sell. Australia had 30 of the M3 Jahre and they didn’t move that quick so I see no reason they will move verts in the same volume as quickly.

LOVE the colors, especially Macao Blue. Damn!

That said, was never a fan of the M4 vert's lines or odd-shaped dome.

I'm guessing this will be at least $100K?

It's a special edition so the ultra die hard BMW people will buy them all up. But c'mon, Porsche 911 money for what started out as a 3-series?

I like what they did with the rake of the rear windscreen. The profile/silhouette makes it look more like an M2 and the usual M4.

Individual paint, full leather, M4 convertible, new floormats, AND a random 30 Jahre badge?

What are we talking here? $130k?

It's the same as all M4 convertibles; no sheetmetal changes are present on this model.

But yes, the notchback design of the convertible (which is necessitated by the fact that the roof retracts) does make it look more M2-like than the fastback coupe.

I'm not a convertible or M4 guy, but I will say this looks great. Big fan of both colors and the comp pack. Not sure what all the complaining is about. Would you rather have fewer choices when shopping? I know I wouldn't. If you want new engineering instead of new colors, be patient for next gen M4, which is right around the corner. Also, keep in mind it takes no effort or resources to come up with a "special edition" color scheme. You didn't miss out on anything better just because BMW decided to do this.

Really? The front end could use a lot of improvement imo

In the past, these Special Edition Individual models have actually been priced cheaper than what you'd pay if you put together a similar order through Individual yourself. We'll see if they still take that approach or if, with the popularity of Individual now and how much people are willing to pay for "specialness", that ship has sailed.

The market will correct itself either way, and they'll sell them all eventually.

The only special edition worth having in my opinion is the e46 CSL and maybe the current GTS.

Semantics. A change in nomenclature doesn’t change the DNA of the car nor its historical relevance. It’s all marketing to a large degree.

So where will the eventual M4 Gran Coupe fall into this all?
