Battery Tender/Charger
Hello!
I've got a question about this "BMW" branded ("Ctek") charger. It is Part # 61432408594. As can clearly be seen in this image, It has indicated on it, "...For 12v Lead Acid And LIFEPO Batteries". Yet, "ShopBMWUSA" sites all indicate this model as, "Not for Lithium Ion Batteries" My Confusion is further enhanced as it shows up on the ETK for F8x M3/M4 and also on "RealOEM" for the same application. It's not listed at "Tischer" and at "ECS" it's listed as "New", so maybe that's it?!? Any thoughts? Help! Cheers! |

BTW, the same part nb shows us all over the Internet with different type of BMW CTEK chargers. The one from ecs is the only one with this unique dual mode charger, the other ones are only for lead acid batteries. I'd call your source and double check that the faceplate has this mode button that switches between lead acid and LI-ion. |

Ctek lithium xs not charging
Hello guys, I have just bought my Ctek Lithium XS charger. My M3 battery is currently out of my car. So I decided to charge it, while it is out of my car.
I have connected battery to the charger, but nothing happens. Charger will start to blink it's LED, which, according to manual means, there is nothing to charge. Like it is not connected to anything. I do have another Ctek charger, for AGM batteries, so I know what should happen. Can some one tell me, if this battery can only be charger ON the car? Maybe it has some kind of protection? The batter has a socket, on its' side. For what it is used? Thank you for any help! Regards! |

If the battery's internal switch is disconnected (open), then you'll measure close to zero Volts. The CTEK is supposed to reset it, if not you can manually start the charging procedure by pressing the reset for 10s CTEK lithium manual! |

I got this one at autozone, but so far haven't really needed it. It never fully charges to 100% however and maintains around 91 to 96%.
http://m.autozone.com/test-scan-and-...ger/747179_0_0 Charges both lead and lithium. |

I assume this NOCO would work as well? There's a couple of different versions and amp ratings but at 5A it's close to the CTEK 4.3A. Anyone use or have the Genius5?
